Acne: What Type Are You Experiencing?
Acne doesn’t look the same for everyone. From occasional clogged pores to deeper, painful breakouts, understanding your skin condition is the first step toward choosing the right treatment.
Clogged Pores & Early Congestion
You may notice blackheads or small white bumps on the skin. These occur when oil and dead skin cells block the pores. At this stage, there is little to no redness, but skin may appear rough or uneven.
Red, Inflamed Breakouts
When bacteria and trapped oil cause irritation, breakouts become red and swollen. This may include small tender bumps (papules) or blemishes with visible pus (pustules).
Persistent or Widespread Acne
If breakouts become more frequent, larger, or more painful, deeper inflammation may be present. Firm nodules can form beneath the skin and may take longer to heal.
Severe, Painful Lesions
Deep cystic acne involves large, inflamed lesions that can be uncomfortable and increase the risk of scarring. Professional treatment is strongly recommended at this stage.
Choosing the Right Treatment
Early or mild acne often improves with professional deep cleansing and customized skincare support. More advanced acne may require targeted clinical treatments to calm inflammation, control oil production, and help prevent long-term scarring.
At Everest Wellness & Aesthetics Center, we tailor each treatment plan based on your skin type, acne severity, and long-term goals.
