Before Your Hyaluronic Acid Treatment
● Make sure the treatment area is clean and free of makeup or skincare products. Everest providers or staff can help cleanse the skin if needed.
● Avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications (such as aspirin or other NSAIDs) for at least 3–4 days before the procedure, as they can increase the likelihood of bruising or swelling.
After Your Hyaluronic Acid Treatment
● Keep your facial muscles relaxed, especially in areas such as the nasolabial folds or apple muscles, to prevent filler displacement.
● Avoid touching, rubbing, or washing the treated area for at least 6 hours to reduce the risk of infection.
● For the first 2–3 days, avoid alcohol and foods that may cause local irritation or increase blood flow, such as very spicy dishes.
● Avoid high-heat environments, such as saunas, hot baths, or intense sun exposure, for at least 1–2 weeks, as heat may accelerate the breakdown of the filler.
● Do not massage, press, or apply pressure to the treated areas unless instructed by your provider.
● Mild swelling is common after hyaluronic acid injections and usually begins to subside within 1–3 days.
