What Is Chemical peel?
Chemical Peel is a skin rejuvenation treatment that applies medical-grade chemical acids (such as glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, or trichloroacetic acid) to the skin’s surface to exfoliate dead and damaged cells, stimulate skin renewal, and promote dermal remodeling. Chemical peel is safer and more effective than regular exfoliation or over-the-counter acid treatments. It can help improve:
Acne and clogged pores
● Post-acne scars and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
● Uneven skin tone and dullness
● Enlarged pores and rough texture
● Fine lines and early signs of aging
Chemical Peel Treatment Process

Cleaning → Degreasing → Applying acid solution → Monitoring skin reaction → Neutralizing(if needed) → Repair & Soothe → Sun Protection

Precautions before and after Chemical Peel
Pre-Treatment Guidelines for Chemical Peel

● 7–14 days before: Stop using retinoids (Retinol/Tretinoin), AHAs, BHAs, and exfoliating products; avoid sun exposure and tanning.
● Before treatment: Inform your provider if you are pregnant, have skin conditions (eczema, rosacea, herpes), or are undergoing other aesthetic procedures.
● On the day of treatment: Do not wear makeup or use any harsh or irritating skincare products.
Post-Treatment Guidelines for Chemical Peel
● 1–3 days after treatment: Skin may be red, warm, or tight, with minor peeling; apply a medical-grade soothing or repair cream.
● 3–10 days after treatment: The top layer of skin will naturally shed; do not pick, peel, or rub the skin. Focus on hydration and sun protection.
● Within 2 weeks: Avoid other aesthetic procedures (laser, IPL, microneedling) and stop using acids, retinoids, or whitening products.
● Up to 1 month: Protect your skin from sun exposure to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and maintain results.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will it be very painful?
Superficial to medium-depth peels typically cause a mild warming or tingling sensation. Deeper peels may produce a stronger burning or stinging feeling. At Everest Wellness & Aesthetics Center, your provider will adjust the type and strength of the peel based on your skin type, sensitivity, and treatment goals to ensure safety and comfort.
Will the peeling be scary?
Peeling is usually mild and flaky. This is a normal part of the skin’s natural renewal process and generally not alarming. Do not pick or peel the skin to avoid irritation or pigmentation.
Is one session enough to see results?
One session can usually brighten the skin, but the best and most lasting results typically take 3–6 sessions, depending on your skin type, peel depth, and individual response.
Can it be done together with microneedling or IPL?
Yes, but treatments should be properly scheduled and spaced for safety. Your provider will create a personalized plan
Will it cause rebound darkening?

Rebound darkening may occur without sun protection. Use sunscreen and avoid direct sun to prevent it.
